Natural History Museum DC Trip

We had such an amazing time on our field trip to Washington DC to the Natural History Museum this month. Thank you to all the parents who helped prepare and chaperone this trip- the 3rd grade team couldn’t have done it without your support! We learned about many animal adaptations, scientific discoveries and investigations. My favorite was the fossil lab in which you could watch real scientists analyze data and fossils. The kids’ favorite was all the gems and minerals!

Simple Machines Project

Students have a project in science this month on simple machines. THE PROJECT IS DUE NOVEMBER 1st and will be presented in class.

Below is an attachment to the rubric and some links for ideas. The project only needs to be a SIMPLE machine but compound machines will be accepted. Remember the machine needs to work!

If your student needs materials provided for this project please send a list in with the project idea and parent signature so I can get those for you.
